Totally Fun

Friday, we had some family arrive for the week. It was my cousin, his wife and their two young girl, 6 and 10. They are endless loads of fun!
Friday night, we were hosting a surprise 50th birthday party for a friend in the neighborhood. Over 25 people came to celebrate the occassion. The neighbor was completely surprised when he walked in to the room of his closest friends! The girls and I played a bit of Big Mouth and went in the hot tub!
Saturday morning, I got up to meet a new running group in town. This is the first time I've been able to run with a group since I moved here almost 6 weeks ago. Everyone was at different abilities and were training for different events, so it made "running" together a little difficult. We all adjusted our goals for the morning to keep the camaraderie.
Mid morning, all the family piled in the car and made our ways to Kohl's. This is a treat for the Sarasota family since Atlanta is the closet city that has one...until the store in Brandon opens! Hopefully, we'll still get the company after Fall opening!
Later that afternoon, we celebrated once again, but for my cousin (I have lots) who turned 19 earlier in the week. We had a nice BBQ and birthday cake celebration! That evening we were going to take a trip on the boat, but the weather didn't permit, SO we all snuggled in and watched a few movies!
Even later in the evening, the girls, L and K brought there blankets and pillows to my room and we had a slumber party! We watched a little bit of the original Willa Wonka before falling asleep. We slept like a can of sardines!
Sunday morning, after falling down the stairs, we all went to North Point to listen to yet another great start to a 3 -part series called Marriage by Design. After church, we played Eye-spy on the car ride home and had some left overs. After lunch, we then headed out on the boat for the day. It is a 45 minute ride, so we started a game of punch-buggie, which I will say I won with 7!! Once at the lake, the girls had SO much fun tubing and swimming - they arelike little fishes!! K who is 6 said, "that was totally fun" after her first ever tubing experience. We had dinner at a little place right on the lake and DQ for dessert!
And that, my friends...was a busy weekend!
