Mocha My Day
About a month ago, I wrote about the need for a part time job to pay off a few things a little faster. Not having much success I sort of stopped looking until about 2 weeks ago. As I wrote, my aunt and uncle left on a cruise this weekend, and a couple from the neighborhood were going as well. They were over at the house a few weeks ago to talk about the trip, and our neighbor friend said he was looking for someone to make smoothies as a party the weekend they were supposed to be gone. It was a good client and not one they wanted to loose. My aunt says, "Colleen was looking for something to do part time." Not really even thinking of it, this was a great idea! We compared calendar dates and I it looked like it would work out! So, last night was my first night making smoothies, I was "in training" with our neighbor friend but had fun. We were in Gainesville, Georgia at a company party. It had a Luau theme and was very family friendly. We wore tropical shirts and really were a the hit of the night. Today, I have to work another party, this time making margaritas and daiquiris! Yikes, this should be interesting! Next weekend I am working two events, one wedding reception and a orientation day for a college in the area. They are really tasty, and easy to make and I have fun in the process!
