NASPA/ACPA Conference

One of my BIG TEN goals for this year is to present a either a regional or national conference, so early this summer I solicited some friends and colleagues to see if anyone would be interested in presenting along with me. But even before that time, some friends of mine who had come to visit got to talking about presenting and a possible topic, that soon became a reality and what a colleague and friend of mine soon put a proposal together on for submission.
This conference is a big deal and is the firs time these two professional organizations have got together to do a joint conference. It'll be a really big deal if we get select, we submitted our proposal Friday night on the Transitions in Student Affairs, focusing on the transitions that professionals may go through in their career.
In addition, I also was part of a group of women who prepared a pre-conference, day session on a variety of Women's Center information. My part of the proposal, along with a women from a school out west, was on the Best Practices for Women's Center, so hopefully between the two proposal I'll be presenting this March in Orlando!
