Pooping is even cute!
This weekend I was FINALLY able to hang out with my little stud of a nephew! He is my first baby nephew. He is SO cute and everything he does is cute. We met for the first time Saturday and were able to hang out for a few days.
Our first picture!
He is so good; hardly fusses at all. He definitely looks like both parents and I can see a lot of my brother in him when he was a baby. It's funny to look at little man and see your brother. I am the youngest so I never experienced anything like that before. It's been awesome to be a part of it all.
I was armed with my camera all weekend just waiting for another first to happen. To my luck, he turned one month old the day we met so it was cause to celebrate! Chris had been looking for a beach to visit to watch the sunset and found one in Tarpon Springs. We all love the water, sunshine and beach atmosphere so it was just the perfect 1-month birthday location. We loaded up in the car Saturday night and headed out there to catch the sunset; we couldn't have timed it better. Just as we pulled up the sun was setting. We took lots of pictures and showed Nickolas the ocean for the first time, as well as a sunset.

First sunset. First time at the beach. First view of the ocean!
He even received his first piece of mail and yes I did take a picture of it!
Sunday we all loaded up after a night of firsts and headed to church.

First thoughts about church - it'll grow on him :) Not sure why his hand looks funny, must have moved. We weren't using the flash to spare his eyes!
He heard his first organ, first sermon and experienced church for the first time. After church, my mom came up for a mini-post birthday celebration (more on that part of the day later).
Nickolas allowed me to change him and was patient as I dusted off my baby skills, I learned how to sterlize the bottles, make a bottle, and many other necessary baby things.

Me learning how to sterlize stuff - boy this would get old fast!
After mom headed home Sunday night, Nickolas, parents, and I went for a 3-mile walk around the neighborhood; this was his first stroller ride and I was driving!

He talked just a little on the way but you could just see the amazement in his eyes as he looked up at the clouds and sky. He was definitely telling us that this was "cool". Did I mention he does the cutest little thing with his mouth - you just have to see it! There'll be many more stories to come, but this was just the FIRST of them!

Can you tell I'm a proud aunt?
There will be more stories and pictures from the weekend soon - hold tight!

What a wonderful story about your weekend. You certainly are proud of your new little nephew. What a fabulous bond you are creating. Keep those stories coming...
He sure is adorable!! I'm not sure how they are sterilizing, but Avent makes a very handy sterilizer that you use in the microwave...makes everything a snap! We're still waiting for more pics...

There are definitely more stories to share - if I only had some time!
Amelia - I'll have to pass along the Avent tip. They are boiling water and soaking the bottles - there MUST be an easier way! Pictures are coming soon - just need to get my camera charged to pull them off it!
