One Fine Day

A counselor friend of mine told me once, that if I have a good day I should say so...this post tells you about my one fine day. This morning, I met up with a few girls from my small group, as well as a guy I work, downtown at Atlantic Station. We all had a blast at Taste of Atlanta. I've never had so many great foods all in one afternoon! I especially liked the crab cakes from a place in Virgina Highlands that plays Jazz on Wednesday. Totally going to hit that up one of these weeks! Another favorite was Cafe Intermezzo which had an Oreo cheesecake that was to die for! The set up was great, we toured around Atlantic Station with tickets to be redeem for yummy treats at the various booths. Sharpie had a booth with a carnival-type game to win a retractable sharpie - woo hoo. I have a purple one at work and LOVE it. I use it on my to-do list when I cross something off!

Bye, bye Taste of Atlanta!

Once I got home, I went for a 6-mile run at the Greenway. I wasn't too sure how I was feeling at the start, but the 2nd half was AMAZING. I felt like Forest Gump, my legs just kept going! It was a much needed run, feeling good, before Chicago this coming weekend! I was going to get up in the morning to run, but tonight (actually in a few hours) we'll be having 12 high school kids spending the night. It's Homecoming time and my cousin and his friends are all headed over here after dinner. They'll have their own Homecoming party! Lights out at 2am; boys downstairs and girls up! It will be quite the exciting night. I heard my cousin's date looks amazing!

SO...this is my one fine day! Did I mention I'm sitting by a wood fire while writing this?? Yeah...the weather is just beautiful up here! The leaves are slowly starting to change and the temps are just perfect - just how I like them!
